This workshop took place at our Colchester shop on the 5th February 2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michele Webber\u2019s course Getting Started in Watercolour was\nvery popular, we had fourteen students very interested to gain some experience.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The students were taught about the materials you will need\nto start watercolour painting, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Watercolour paper<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Watercolour paint<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Watercolour brushes<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Palettes<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michele spoke about the differences in watercolour paper\nsurface and weight and then moved onto some small exercises with the students\nto get used to how the paints work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The students then went on to create some smaller pictures,\nfinishing with a larger picture at the end of the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This course was perfect for someone who really wants to get\nto grips with watercolour painting and just learn the basics where you can then\nbuild upon what you have learnt during the day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have a few more watercolour courses coming up, although\nnone are basic beginners courses they are all still catered for beginners as\nwell as more experienced painters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
