In case you didn’t know already…<\/span><\/p>\n

Cambridge Open Studios is a yearly month-long summer art event, which features an <\/span>exciting range of exhibitions by 350 artists at 221 locations in the city and surrounding areas.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Artists of many different kinds open their doors to the public over the first four weekends in July. Among the huge range of specialisms are: fine art, photography, pottery, glass making, sculpture, illustration, textiles, jewellery and furniture making, and more besides.<\/span><\/p>\n

As we are halfway through July, we’re two weekends down, two to go! But what have we got coming up? <\/span><\/p>\n

We couldn’t possibly list every single artist so here’s our pick of artists that will be opening their doors this coming weekend:<\/span><\/p>\n

169 Jamie Sugg – Painter<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Local landscape artist, Jamie Sugg, will be welcoming visitors on weekend’s 3 & 4 of July to view his acrylic and watercolour paintings inspired by the play and interaction of light on the landscape and in the skies surrounding him.<\/span><\/p>\n

25 Chantal Lipscombe – Painter<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Taking inspiration from her home in the Hertfordshire countryside, Chantal’s watercolour designs focus primarily on British wildlife. Using striking, loose strokes from a vibrant palette, she aims to depict the character of creatures that live near her cottage in the depth of the country. She will be welcoming visitors for the remaining two weekends!<\/span><\/p>\n

132b Heather Stowell – Jewellery <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Bespoke designer jeweller, silversmith Heather Stowell will be opening her doors on weekends 3 and 4 of the open studios so if you’d like to see some beautiful jewellery, make sure to pop in!<\/span><\/p>\n

Contemporary slipware potter Sarah Went uses traditional techniques of slip trailing and sgraffito to create texture and pattern. Her studio will be open for the remaining two weekends on the open studios<\/span><\/p>\n
