The Derwent Metallic colouring pencils range have bright, highly reflective pigments designed to stand out. Working better on dark backgrounds they offer a subtle shimmer and dimension to sketches and drawings.
The pencils are water-soluble meaning endless amounts of interesting line and wash effects can be created. Add colour to the paper and wash over with a Derwent Waterbrush to create intense, bright, reflective colour. They can also be used dry with other media to add definition and highlights to areas of work.
For use on all kinds of creative projects the pencils are set in a hexagonal barrel for detailed lines and greater control, have colour coded ends for easy identification and are easy to sharpen and break resistant, making them ideal for long periods of use.
