Introduction to Lino Printing with Emily Aveling (Cambridge)
In this beginners workshop, Emily will guide you as you transform your chosen image or photo into an art print by lino carving. You’ll go through the process of tracing and transferring your image, then deciding on which sections to keep and which to carve out with the safe use of cutting tools. You’ll explore the use of coloured paper. Later you will have the option to use your prints to make your own greetings cards. If you have any shapes or images that you’d like to use while here, then please bring them along, however, there will be plenty of imagery and inspiration to choose from on the day. We advise that you wear clothing that you won’t mind getting messy. Aprons are available to use. You can bring a container to take home any tacky prints or alternatively you are welcome to leave your prints and collect them later. We look forward to helping you begin your lino printing Journey!
