Painting Colourful Doorways in watercolour with Denise Schoenberg (Cambridge)

Denise will demonstrate how to use a variety of techniques to achieve texture in your paintings and show you how to use vibrant colours in a new doorway project. Learn how to use splattering, cling film, wax resist and salt to create exciting mark making and textures. The techniques will be demonstrated, and you can apply them in a painting of vibrant colourful old doorway complete with old peeling paint and cracked plaster around the doorway. The day focuses on painting so a detailed sketch of the doorway will be provided for you to trace on to watercolour paper, you can do a freehand sketch if you prefer. Denise will demonstrate how to paint the doorway in step by step demonstrations throughout the day. You will be given guidance notes and photos to paint from. Suitable for anyone with some watercolour painting experience and anyone who has completed the beginners watercolour day that I teach.
