Watercolour Landscape painting: En Plein Air with Andrew Dockerill (Cambridge)

A fun and informative outdoor workshop where you will complete a full landscape painting in Watercolour.

Starting from the basics we will cover composition, colour mixing and a step-by-step process to build up the painting using "layers".

The workshop will cover:

1. Equipment and considerations for outdoor painting. 

2. Materials and brushstrokes.

3. Importance of composition and tonal studies.

4. Wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry techniques.

5. Creating depth with atmospheric perspective.

6. Limited colour palettes.

Andrew Dockerill is a local artist with 34 years of experience painting in Watercolour. More recently Andrew has been teaching workshops and art courses at Haddenham Art Centre and demonstrating to community groups
