Join Emily for an exciting Intermediate Lino Printing Workshop, designed to help you build on the skills gained in a previous beginners session. This hands-on workshop will introduce you to more advanced techniques, including jigsaw printing, multi-block lino, and mastering accurate print registration to ensure beautifully aligned final pieces.
Emily will guide you every step of the way - from planning your design, tracing and transferring your image, to deciding which areas to carve and which to leave. You’ll learn how to confidently and safely use lino cutting tools while refining your technique.
Throughout the session, you’ll have the opportunity to experiment with a variety of lino inks, explore colour combinations, and print on different coloured papers. If you have specific shapes, reference images, or ideas you’d like to work with, feel free to bring them along for inspiration. Plenty of imagery will also be available on the day.
As lino printing is a hands-on (and sometimes inky!) process, please wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little messy. Aprons will be provided. You’re welcome to bring a container to safely transport your finished prints home, or you may leave them to collect at a later date.
Come ready to experiment, develop your skills, and create a series of striking layered prints in a supportive and creative environment.
