Animal and Pet Portraits in Coloured Pencil With David Sandell (Cambridge)

This workshop is suitable for students wishing to draw animals from photographic reference; from taking and selecting photographs, transferring the image to paper and understanding the fundamentals (composition, values, colour, texture, edges and more). You’ll learn how to deal with fur and different textures in pencil, then finally, how to bring the animal portrait to a successful conclusion. 

*If you wish to draw from your own photo, please bring a good quality A4/A3 print of the animal/pet you wish to draw. Ideally one on colour and another in black and white. Alternative reference photos will also be available.
