Introduction to Lino Printing with Emily Aveling (Newmarket)
Suitable for beginners
In this workshop you’ll making an image or photo into your very own print. Firstly we’ll go through the process of tracing and transferring your image to deciding on which sections to keep and which to carve out with the safe use of the tools. We’ll explore the use of coloured inks and experiment with coloured paper.
You can later of course use these prints to make cards! If you have a
photo, shapes or images you’d like to use then please bring them along. There will however be plenty of imagery and inspiration to choose from on the day.
We advise that you wear clothing that you won’t mind getting messy or bring your own apron (we do have some). You can bring a container to put your creations in after the workshop, as the ink could still be tacky.
Otherwise you can collect them at a later date.
