Tindall’s started life as a family run business in 1965 in the town of Newmarket, printing and selling sheet music.  The business has constantly evolved over a period of time ever since, in order to move with the times and provide customers with their ever changing needs.

Our wide and varied retail product base now includes art supplies from all the major manufacturers as well as luxury gifts and an extensive range of stationery.
Art supplies are available by mail order, from our high street shops based in Colchester, Cambridge, Newmarket and Ely.
Our art supplies are easily transferred between our central warehouse and shops using our own van fleet, ensuring timely deliveries where items are not immediately available.
Winsor and Newton shops are our premier art centres, their art supplies include; artist quality oil, watercolour, gouache, acrylic paints and brushes, including the finest Kolinski sable series 7, watercolour brushes which we hold in stock in almost every size.
Other art supplies for students and professional artists alike, include a very comprehensive range of canvas and boards as well as the easels needed to support them.

Our Cambridge shop has the largest range of art supplies, often described as an 'Aladdin’s Cave' and many of you who studied in the town will remember the site as the renound and much loved Heffer’s from times past. Following closely behind, is Colchester in the range of art supplies stocked with Newmarket and Ely having roughly half the stock levels but still a very good range of art supplies.

Many of the major manufacturers have now centralised their European distribution, making it an ever greater challenge to hold the right stock levels of art supplies in order to despatch orders as quickly as possible, keep a decent level of stock in our shops and not overstock the business.
The times when we could place a top up art supplies order and receive it a couple of days later are now long past. Please bear with us and be patient when we show our human side and get the timing wrong.

It is all very well having a large stock of art supplies but the vast range that exists can be quite daunting for new artists. We are blessed with good staff who's years of experience and product knowledge of our art supplies range, are there as a resource for all. Perhaps you are an experienced artist who is changing media and would like some advice? - We are here to answer all your questions and more than happy to help.

More craft orientated art supplies include ranges of Tulip 3D fabric paint, Snazaroo face paint and clay modelling. We also provide art supplies for glass and porcelain art, some of which can be fixed using oven baking to make them dishwasher safe.

Talking of safety, we have a wide range of art supplies and craft products completely safe for children, which include snazaroo and crayola.
